Today, we officially opened all of our Valentine's Day cards that we received from around the world. We had a total of 17, which we duly marked off our map. Although we had hoped for a greater number, we were satisfied with the ones we received. Hopefully, more are still on their way. Nonetheless, Miss Helen, Sherry, and I thoroughly enjoyed this assignment. Our Jackson Creek Memory Care sent out 31 cards to 31 different states. I wanted to share a heartwarming story about Officer Jason Onka who truly embodies the spirit of compassion and kindness. Not only did he visit on Valentine's Day with a cop but he also returned the next day with gifts and to spend time with a special resident, Miss Beverly, with whom he had formed a connection over their shared love of Elvis Presley. Officer Jason's gesture brought immense joy to Miss Beverly, a lifelong Elvis fan who has seen him perform over 20 times. His kindness and dedication to building relationships with the community are a shining example of the positive impact one person can have. Thank you to Officer Jason from the Independence Police Department for inspiring us all with his remarkable heart.

Happy Valentine’s week at Jackson Creek Memory Care where we commemorated Valentine’s Day with a grand celebration featuring a special performance by David Jackson, renowned for his performances in Branson, Vegas, and Nashville, culminating in an extraordinary week at Jackson Creek marked by a fun-filled and special Valentine’s celebration. Valentine with the cop was an amazing day as everyone had big smiles on their faces thank you to the Independence Police Department for always coming through.
