Grief is not linear.

It doesn’t move in predictable stages or follow a clear progression. You may feel steady one day and overwhelmed the next. Milestones, memories, and even ordinary moments can bring emotions rushing back when you least expect it.

That doesn’t mean you’re going backwards, it means loss doesn’t follow a schedule.

Wherever you are today, give yourself permission to be there. There is no “right” pace, only your own.

Grief in our world has shifted.

Since the COVID pandemic, the way people experience, and process loss has changed in profound ways. For many families, the chance to say goodbye and gather in community, two essential parts of the grieving process, was disrupted or lost entirely. Those experiences continue to shape how individuals, families, and communities mourn today.

This training explores grief in a post-COVID society, the impact on funeral professionals and caregivers, and how collective trauma—from pandemics to natural disasters and community tragedies, affects the way we support those who are grieving.

2 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available for social workers, counselors, nurses, and funeral directors.

This clip shares how our founder, Mark Tripodi, and his wife Christi began Cornerstone of Hope after the heartbreaking loss of their 3-year-old son, Bobby. What started in the depths of grief became a mission to walk alongside others navigating loss and searching for hope.

Today, Cornerstone of Hope has served more than 60,000 grieving individuals and families through support, education, and community.

This is just a small moment from a powerful conversation about grief, faith, and how God can bring purpose even in life’s darkest moments.

As the days grow warmer and the sunlight stretches a little longer, it’s only natural to start thinking about summer, and that means camp season is almost here!

Charting New Territory together, our wilderness-themed grief camps offer a safe, supportive experience for grieving children and teens. Each day blends outdoor adventure and creative activities with age-appropriate grief support led by professional clinicians and trained volunteers.

Through art, games, and guided small-group conversations, campers have the opportunity to share their stories, express emotions, develop healthy coping skills, and connect with peers who understand their loss. For many, camp becomes a place of belonging, a reminder that they are not alone.

Summer will be here before we know it. Now is the time to apply.

Coping skills give us something steady when everything else feels uncertain.

They’re the practical, everyday tools that help us manage big emotions, taking a walk, setting boundaries, creating routines, talking it out, or simply allowing ourselves a pause.

They may seem small, but over time, they build strength and steadiness. Give yourself permission to use the tools that help you breathe a little easier.
