Life is so much about transitions. If everything is in a state of flux, how do you open to the changing reality? Most of what stops us from embracing change is fear. We all want to be able to count on something. This is my house. Out on my lawn is my tree (it’s not your tree). These are my shoes. This is what I do on Mondays. Here’s where I put my mat in my yoga class. This is my partner. I know this person. (Do you know them, or are you assuming you know everything there is to know? Because your partner is changing just like you, growing, opening, thinking about things in different ways, evolving as life brings new situations and events, some wanted, others not.) The only thing you can really count on is that everything is changing all the time, and that fighting that truth will cause you to suffer. Open to it all, invite it all in. Let it wash over you. Take action when you need to. Don’t expect to blossom if you’ve planted yourself in soil that has been stripped of all its nutrients, that hasn’t been watered for far too long. Nothing nurturing will grow out of that. Mourn when you need to, let the despair wash over you. Be enraged, or lonely or confused. Let your heart break. That way you can also open to all the gifts. All the wonder and joy and surprise and love. All the beauty and growth and expansion of your heart. Accept the endings so you can also embrace the beginnings.

You are the standard.
You are the prize.

If they can’t rise to your level, they’re not meant to be in your life.

Let go.
Move on.

Because someone out there WILL meet those requirements.

It’s not about how many people hit on you, it’s about which ones stay when they get to know you.

Beauty may attract, but a good heart and a good mind is what keeps them.

Pretty faces are everywhere, pretty hearts are not.

And if you’re lucky enough to find someone that has all three...

Never.
Let.
Them.
Go.

Healing at the Main Taproot

In Forrest Yoga, we don’t just work on the surface. We go in deep to the root of what’s causing pain, disconnection, or stuckness.

And that kind of healing requires more than just movement. It asks us to go beyond what we can consciously think or explain. It asks us to reach the taproot.

The taproot is the main root of a plant that grows deep into the earth, anchoring and nourishing the entire system. If the taproot is sick or blocked, the whole plant struggles even if the leaves look okay.

We have emotional and spiritual taproots, too.

They live in the unconscious the deep inner places where beliefs, trauma, memory, and soul patterns are stored. When we want to heal at that root level, we can’t just talk about it or stretch it out. We need tools that reach below the surface.

That’s why we use shamanism in Forrest Yoga.

The shamanic gives us a powerful set of tools : ritual, music, energy work, breath, intention, connection to Spirit that help us drop beneath the noise of the mind and into the felt wisdom of the body and soul.

In Forrest Yoga, the shamanic helps us:

Access unconscious beliefs

The ones that shape their lives without them even knowing it like “I’m not enough,” “I’m not safe,” or “I don’t belong.” These beliefs live in the body. The shamanic helps bring them to the surface, where they can be seen and healed.

Feel without shutting down

Shamanic tools help create sacred, emotionally intelligent space so students can feel grief, rage, fear, or numbness without being overwhelmed by it. That’s where healing starts.

Reconnect with their inner wisdom

The shamanic approach reminds us that our bodies, dreams, and instincts carry truth. It empowers students to trust their own inner medicine.

Transform from the inside out

When we reach the taproot, healing is no longer just about symptom relief. It becomes a soul-deep shift, a transformation that ripples through every part of life.

In Forrest Yoga, we don’t just move, we ceremonialize, we feel, we listen to Spirit.

Because the kind of healing we’re after isn’t superficial.

We’re here to heal at the root.

And the shamanic helps us get there.

Welcome, I’m Jenna

For me, all roads start and lead to the mind/body connection. For some, this powerful link is experienced through weekly workouts of choice, and for others it becomes a near constant state of being. I exalt in teaching and working with anyone who seeks to reap the mind//body benefits of yoga, movement or healing through various interwoven techniques and practices. This is where I uniquely employ exploration, combining elements infrequently paired together, encouraging unfettered self-expression.

I’ve been on a journey for almost 15 years. Not a journey to find myself necessarily but a voyage to build the many ways I can help myself and other people to live more consciously. I connected with the movement and the spirit of body at a young age. My journey began with dance, which led me to studying shiatsu, followed by a pursuit of a career in massage therapy and yoga. My knowledgable and dynamic teachings are filled with true compassion for my students and a sincere regard for their wellness and healing through very original approaches. I base my work on years of personal practice, thoughtful and intelligent sequencing, and my intuition- what will best serve those I am working and creating with.

Through my classes, retreats, events and studio I encourage people to create their own practice, their own beat. This approach celebrates our rough edges and unique bodies. I adore music and play guitar and sing, so don’t be surprised if this makes its way into my gatherings as well! If you’re in the Melbourne area, please visit my studio at 412 5th Ave, Indialantic, FL 32903 or check the retreats page to get the information on my retreats, traveling techniques and additional ways I work with people.
