many people have been impacted by all of the struggles from this past year. the amount of families in need of a little extra love is overwhelming, so we are collecting items for Our Friends and Neighbors. they are a community outreach doing what we can to help our homeless friends and neighbors in Brevard County, FL. We are NOT a non-profit organization. We are a small team with just a few people and looking to grow!
We go out two nights a week with a homemade meal, cold Gatorade and water, *friendship bags and many other much-needed items when available from hygiene products to clothing and shoes, blankets, rain ponchos, insect repellent, first aid kits, flashlights and tarps, just to name a few. We stop at some hotels en route to deliver a meal to individuals and families as well. We are currently coordinating to provide pans of home cooked meals to families living in hotels.
We do what we can to help in any way we can. We are always in need of help to help our friends and neighbors in need. If you are interested in finding out how you can help or would like to learn more please feel free to message us.
What we strive to do is not only about providing a meal but building relationships and helping the people in our community who are most in need. We do not judge and simply ask that you be considerate and supportive to anyone who may be seeking help. You could very well be the light in someone's darkest hour.
*Friendship bags are bags consisting of pop-top/peel-top non-perishables, tuna chicken or ham pouch, snacks, drinks (including water), diaper wipes or hand sanitizer wipes, hand sanitizer and tissues.
