CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS:

Our Summer Feeding Program team has been working exceptionally hard at the Chevy Chase Community Center this year, and they're seeking a few extra helpers for the first two weeks of August. If you'd like to lend a hand either packing or delivering meals to children in the Marion Center and Purchase Line districts, please email chevychaseoutreach@gmail.com or call the center at 724-463-0674 to speak with our volunteer coordinator.

A big thank you to all of our current volunteers! We appreciate you immensely!

✨ATTENTION all local farmers and gardeners!!✨

My name is Megan, I am the Nutrition Educator and Harvest Coordinator for the garden. I harvest produce and distribute it to community members every Wednesday at Chevy Chase Community Center.

Due to the WILD weather we have been graced with this summer and limited number of volunteers we are going through a small Lull in our production. This means less fresh food for the locals.

So far, we have been able to feed anywhere from 40-80 people with our harvests and we don’t want to disappoint them. This week I was able to fill my harvest table with donations from local gardeners and farms, my heart was filled to see people so eager and pleased to share their hardwork with us🥹

The community members were more than thrilled to see the hodge podge of items we had for them. People who have never grown a plant were able to take home tomato plants to try themselves!

With all that rambling, I am asking for your help! 🙏🏽 If you have ANYTHING to donate to help fill our harvest table during this small lull we would be so grateful. This could be as small as some extra zucchini or seedlings that you just don’t have room for.

Thank you so much 🥰 and feel free to contact me directly .wellnessllc
