We are SO GRATEFUL for the support of the United Way this school year!
Stay tuned for some new adventures this year!!
IHS and IASD are honored to share that the Indiana Senior High School branch of the Green Bandana Project has been awarded a $1,000 United Way of Indiana County 2025 Grant to support their 2025-2026 initiatives.
The Green Bandana Project increases student awareness of school-based mental health and su***de prevention resources and empowers students to seek help when they need it. Green Bandana members wear a green bandana on their backpacks so other students know who to look to for help and support. These members will work to help connect students in need with the proper support systems and resources.
Last school year, the Green Bandana Project hosted various activities within the school, including but not limited to, an Easter egg hunt, therapy dog visits, apparel promotion, and more. The project is looking to expand their initiatives this school year with the help of the United Way.
IHS Juniors Julia Weber (left) and Rachel Livermore (right) accepted the grant on behalf of the group. The Green Bandana Project is advised by senior high English teacher Miss Cassidy Black and senior high school psychologist Mrs. Courtney Kuncelman.
This project was made possible (in part) through a grant from the United Way of Indiana County
