Sacrifice. Doubt, fear, rejection, loneliness, pain, feeling lost, uncertainty…. Just a few of the emotions you must be willing to face when God calls you to build something meaningful for yourself & others. Many of the women we serve have experienced these same emotions firsthand.

Some days it’s heavy, & leading something like this will test you in ways nobody sees, but every time I start to feel overwhelmed, God reminds me that I’m not alone.

Each day women walk through the doors carrying real life, and they are met by instructors, including me, who are honored to take part in another woman’s journey. This work is moving through all of us.

We offer yoga, Pilates, and strength training, and while this space began with waistbeads tied with intention, it has grown into something deeper, a place centered on transformation shaped by the people who show up and the people who serve.

We are more than just another yoga place, we are Pure Heart.

Why Hatha Yoga matters.

Research shows Hatha yoga helps regulate heart rate variability (HRV), which supports nervous system balance and emotional self-regulation. Low HRV is common in people experiencing chronic stress, anxiety, PTSD, or C-PTSD. Hatha yoga has been shown to help stabilize HRV, reduce intrusive thoughts, and lower anxiety.

It’s also especially supportive for trauma survivors because of its slower pace, breath awareness, and compassionate observation of the body. Over time, this practice helps people reconnect with physical sensations, build trust with their bodies, and respond to stress without fear or shame.

I’ll be guiding Strong Friend Sanctuary at Pure Heart Wellness Studio on February 6th at 6:30 PM.

This workshop was created for the ones who are always holding space for others. The ones who show up, stay steady, and keep going- even when they’re tired. This is a chance to slow down, soften, and let yourself be supported.

We’ll move gently, reflect through journaling, and rest with sound in a small, grounded space. Nothing to perform. Nothing to fix. Just space to breathe and land🫂

💜 Dear woman, thank you for allowing me to tuck you in today for intentional rest wrapping your feet snug and tucking your blanket securely with your consent. You’re a Mother, grandmother, daughter and someone who shows up for everyone. Thank you for listening to the space between you and your nervous system and for filling that distance with rest. Thank you for noticing the signs of burn out and for taking care of yourself once you hung up with the doctors office. Thank you that as you move through the stages of life you still stop and thank GOD for all the simple things that are beautiful. Thank you for the woman you are, the blessing you are and the joy you are to hold space for.
