Do you know what Parkour is? Besides the scene from the shot The Office I mean. It's a pretty incredible, high-flying, action-packed sport. We're privileged to help our very own Wesley Yoshida recovery from a knee injury in time to compete at this weekend's Parkour World Championships in Vancouver. He has quite a gift. Buena Suerte (Good Luck) to our Milestone athlete Francisco (Fran) Acosta. He is running in the Boston Marathon on Monday. This is the world's most famous marathon, requiring runners to complete a marathon under 3 hours to qualify. Fran's goal is 2 hours and 30 minutes. For perspective, that's running a mile in 5 minutes and 43 seconds... for 26 miles! Incredible!!

Fran has been coming to Milestone for some manual therapy treatment as he goes through his intense training sessions. We have been able to keep him injury free using soft tissue work and targeted stretching.

It's been a few weeks now, but man what a special event to be a part of. On Saturday December 14th, Faith Strong Elite and Kara Williams hosted a health fair for local residents of Indianapolis and Lawrence. The event was incredibly organized, well-attended, and packed full of helpful information. I was able to interact with so many people who are interested in bettering their health through improved nutrition and fitness. The role Milestone Physical Therapy can play is keeping everyone physically healthy enough to maintain their exercise routines - essential to overall health. At the event, we offered an InBody test to attendees so they can develop a better understanding of their body composition. Having as much information as possible really helps making a personalized nutrition and fitness plan more effective.

Huge shoutout again to all who helped to organize or attended the event. Happy to have Milestone as a part of keeping our community healthy.
