Employee Spotlight ✨

My name is Tranita, and I’m a mother of three and a proud NiNi of four. I recently accepted the Unit Manager position of the East Unit here at Chalet Rehabilitation and Healthcare.

My nursing journey began in 2007 as a CNA. I started nursing school in 2009, but life had other plans. When my mother passed away in May of that year, my heart just wasn’t ready to continue. For a long time, I carried that pause with me.

It wasn’t until 2019 that the desire returned, and this time I listened. I became an LPN, worked full time, and then put myself through the ASN program while continuing to work and traveling to and from Ohio two to three times a week. It was exhausting. It was hard. And it was worth it.

I graduated this past September 2025, and it remains the hardest yet most rewarding thing I’ve ever done. Along the way, I showed my children what resilience looks like, what delays and detours can look like, and that dreams don’t expire if you’re willing to work for them.

Today, two of my daughters are in nursing school, and my heart melts every time I think about it. This journey wasn’t just for me.

It was for them, for my mother, and for anyone who needs to know that it’s never too late to begin again.
