It’s World Autism Awareness Day, but we believe in going beyond awareness to acceptance, understanding, and support 💙
Every child deserves to be seen, heard, and valued for who they are.
We’re proud to walk alongside families, helping children build skills, confidence, and meaningful participation in their everyday lives.

This Saturday we celebrate individuals with Down syndrome and their joy, determination, humor, and the many ways they enrich our communities. Community matters. Being around other families who “get it” matters. Seeing older children and adults with Down syndrome thriving matters.
On World Down Syndrome Day, we celebrate them, and we’re grateful to have organizations in Indianapolis creating spaces where families feel supported and seen.

Neurodiversity means there isn’t one “right” way for a brain to grow, learn, communicate, or connect.
For some children, that may look like differences in sensory processing, communication style, attention, movement, or social interaction. And those differences often come with incredible abilities, perspectives, and ways of experiencing the world.
Support doesn’t mean changing a child’s brain.
It means helping them navigate a world that isn’t always built for it.

Toddlers love to help, and chores are actually great for development.
Everyday tasks help build gross motor, fine motor, language, executive function, and sensory regulation skills. Carrying, pushing, sorting, scooping, and following directions are all learning opportunities.

It might take a little longer… but those everyday moments are packed with developmental benefits.

This month is about awareness, but even more than that, it’s about understanding, inclusion, and respect.
Developmental disabilities can affect how a child learns, moves, communicates, or interacts with the world. They may be visible. They may not be. But every child deserves the opportunity to participate, connect, and grow in ways that feel meaningful to them.

This month, we celebrate children with cerebral palsy.
Cerebral palsy is a neurological condition that affects movement, muscle tone, and coordination. But it does not define a child’s personality, intelligence, potential, or worth.
In early intervention, we focus on:
✨ Supporting functional movement and mobility
✨ Promoting independence in daily routines
✨ Encouraging communication in all forms
✨ Helping families feel confident and equipped

Therapy isn’t about “fixing” a child.
It’s about supporting access, participation, and opportunity.

Kinsley is graduating PT this month! Her PT, Kaitlyn, said, “When I first started working with Kinsley for PT, she was just 12 months old. Today at 21 months, she is walking everywhere, confidently navigating her environment, and exceeding all of her developmental milestones!

Her hard work (and her family’s dedication!) truly paid off.

Great job, Kinsley! I am so proud of you and all you’ve accomplished. Keep shining and exploring the world one confident step at a time!”
