Cardiac arrest doesn’t usually happen in a crowded public place — it most often happens at home. In fact, about 88% of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests in the U.S. occur in the home, meaning the person most likely to respond is a family member or someone in the household.

The life you save will most likely be someone you love.

Contact RESQ & Arise Safety and CPR Training to get trained and prepared. When seconds count at home, you want to know exactly what to do.

Did you know?
When CPR was formally introduced in 1960, it wasn’t reserved for physicians.

The first large-scale CPR trainings were taught to firefighters and everyday citizens — not just doctors.

Pioneers like Peter Safar believed survival from cardiac arrest depended on immediate action by whoever was nearby — not waiting for a hospital team.

That philosophy shaped what CPR is today:
A life-saving skill intentionally designed for ordinary people to perform in extraordinary moments.

When it comes to cardiac arrest, time is not just important — it is everything. Research shows that for every minute CPR is delayed, survival chances drop by about 7–10 percent.

That means in just a few short minutes, the odds can fall dramatically. Immediate action can be the difference between life and loss.

Contact RESQ & Arise Safety and CPR Training to learn how to respond quickly, correctly, and confidently. Because in an emergency, you don’t have minutes to spare.

Did you know?
Modern CPR as we know it didn’t officially come together until 1960 — and it was partly discovered by accident.

Researchers at Johns Hopkins University were studying defibrillation on dogs when they realized something surprising:
rhythmic chest compressions alone could circulate blood.

Around the same time, Dr. James Elam and Dr. Peter Safar proved that mouth-to-mouth ventilation actually worked in humans.

When chest compressions + rescue breaths were combined, modern CPR was born.

CPR can double or even triple a person’s chance of survival during cardiac arrest — yet bystanders begin CPR only about 41% of the time in out-of-hospital emergencies.

That means more than half the time, someone nearby could help save a life but may not feel prepared to step in.

Let’s change that.

Contact RESQ & Arise Safety and CPR Training to learn the correct, hands-on skills you need to respond with confidence. Because when seconds count, being trained makes all the difference.
