Donnie was a restless young man, familiar to local police and unsure of his future. One night, his mother sent him to the supermarket. There, an elderly woman with bright silver eyes stopped him and pointed to a man across the aisle. “That man has the same sparkle my husband had when he proposed,” she whispered. “You’re meant to walk together.”​

​Shaken but curious, Donnie approached the stranger and nervously introduced himself with a false name. The man only smiled. “I’m Jim,” he said. “I’d like to see you again.” At lunch, Jim gently confronted him. “Your name is Donald Harris. You’re not married. Don’t lie to me again.” Instead of pushing him away, the honesty drew them closer.​

​Soon their families met, and love took root. When they returned to the supermarket, the silver-eyed woman smiled at the sight of them together. She later passed away, leaving them each $5,000 in her will. Not long after, Jim proposed. They married and spent forty years side by side, just as foretold.
