The 97.3 WMEE Family Festival — formerly known as the Baby Fair & Family Expo — took place on February 21st at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne. It’s one of the area’s longest-running family events and was free to attend for all ages.
Infancy Onward hosted a table at the event, sharing information, educational materials, and resources to support families and professionals. The team engaged with attendees throughout the day, providing guidance and raising awareness about infant and early childhood mental health. đź’š

🤝 Recently, the concept of mattering—the feeling that we are valued and have value to add to the world—has gained momentum among scientists and practitioners as a key ingredient for lifelong well-being. And, while mattering is important to us all, our sense of whether or not we matter—to our loved ones, our communities, and the world at large—begins in the earliest days of infancy.

Check out this working paper from the Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University titled "Mattering in Early Childhood: Building a Strong Foundations for Life" to learn more about why mattering MATTERS!
