Joint pain can make everyday activities, like walking, exercising or even getting comfortable, more difficult than they should be. While occasional aches can happen, ongoing or worsening joint pain isn’t something you have to push through.

Punxsutawney Phil recently predicted six more weeks of winter, but at Community Hospital East, our little NICU babies are already brightening our days. Our wonderful volunteers provided these adorable outfits for the occasion. Thanks so much to the parents for letting us share this sunshine with you.

Say hello to R'ielle Faith Smith, our adorable 2026 New Year's Baby at Community Hospital East!

Born at 8:02am on New Year's Day, she weighs in at 6 pounds, 11.7 ounces and is 19.5 inches long. Congratulations to proud parents Barrett Keys and Rico Smith—R'ielle will be welcomed home by her two excited big sisters (ages 5 and 4) on the east side. Welcome to the family, R'ielle!

🎄✨ Community Hospital East received a heartfelt Christmas gift from our neighbors at Lutherwood. Students there lovingly created 100 handmade blankets for our patients, delivered with the help of Indiana’s Director of Child Services, Adam Krupp.

These gifts of comfort and joy will be shared with patients on Christmas morning, reminding us how powerful community kindness can be. We are truly grateful — together we are caring for our community.

It may look like Santa’s Workshop, but this heartwarming scene is actually our annual holiday tradition at Community Hospital East! Every year, our amazing caregivers come together to donate and wrap toys for children who visit the ED during the holidays. This year, they wrapped an incredible 620 toys! We’re so grateful for our dedicated ED team and all the caregivers who are spreading joy and making the season brighter for our east side community. Thank you for your kindness and holiday spirit!
