🎃✨ Our talented teams went all out for this year's Pumpkin Decorating Contest.
The results were gourd-geous!🧡
🏆 This year's first place winner got a lot of laughs in addition to the most votes. You can see why with the Medical Oncology Department's "under the sink repair". The Cath Lab claimed second place with an "out of this world" pumpkin. Third place goes to Med/Surg Oncology who magically turned a pumpkin into a caterpillar.
🎨 Thanks to all our incredibly creative caregivers who transformed the cafeteria bringing smiles to the faces of patients, visitors, and caregivers. Happy Halloween!

We had a fantastic time at this year's Irvington Wellness Fair! Community Hospital East provided 80 free flu shots and collected almost 100 pounds of expired and unneeded medication for safe disposal. 🙌 It was great connecting with our neighbors, sharing information about healthcare services and offering free screenings. 😊 We are so glad the Irvington Wellness Fair is part of The Historic Irvington Halloween Festival. Thank you to everyone who stopped by!

Caregivers are the heart and soul of Community Hospital East, and Paige Dooley is truly at the center of it all! ❤️ As our dedicated hospital administrator, Paige is celebrating an incredible 40 years with the east side community. From starting as an RN back in 1985 to leading our team with passion and care, she has always put patients first. We celebrated this amazing milestone with a surprise party.
Happy 40th anniversary and thank you, Paige, for the incredible way you care for our community!🎉

Who is ready for the big game tonight? The NICU babies at CHE! They are all dressed up to cheer on the Indiana Pacers. 🏀 Don't they look adorable?

Kudos to our incredible team of NICU nurses who nurture these babies with warmth and care, while also ensuring the families are well-supported and weaving celebrations like the Pacers in the NBA Finals into daily routines. How about a cheer for our hospital's home team? 📣 🙌

This Skin Cancer Prevention and Awareness Month, visit Community Health Network MD Anderson Cancer Center for a free skin cancer screening. A big day at Community Hospital East! Thanks to your contributions, 100 pounds of expired and no longer needed medications are out of homes and being safely disposed. That's the most we have collected for a Drug Take Back Day and we couldn't have done it without you. We make a great team!

Do you have any unused, unwanted or expired medications in your medicine cabinet? Join us for our Drug Take Back Event on Saturday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the main entrance. Disposing of unneeded medications in the home can help prevent substance misuse and overdose from occurring.

We accept prescriptions, vitamins, liquid medicine, over-the-counter pills and pet medicine. We hope to see you there!

Skin cancer can affect anyone, regardless of skin color. To help you identify and treat skin cancer early, Community is offering FREE screenings. Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the United States, but with early detection, you can have the best chance of a cure. Find a screening time and get registered!
