Santa and Mrs. Claus brought extra joy to Community Hospital East, making special memories with caregivers and their families! From fun holiday crafts to tasty treats, the morning was all about laughter and festive cheer. Visitor restrictions are in effect starting Monday, December 22 to help prevent the spread of respiratory infections, like the flu. If you're planning a visit at one of the Community Health Network hospitals or Cancer Centers, please ensure the following guidelines are met:
✅ No visitors under age 18
✅ Visitors are be limited to patient’s immediate family or as identified by patient
✅ No more than two visitors at a time per patient
✅ Visitors must wear masks in patient rooms when requested
✅ Those with respiratory symptoms may not visit

Please join us on December 1 as we celebrate the fight to end the HIV epidemic on World AIDS Day. We’ll be offering free HIV testing at the Infectious Disease Office located within the professional building at Community Hospital East. This free test only takes one minute to process, and is given by a trained HIV specialist. Our specialists will help you make a risk reduction plan as well. These tests are completely confidential and come with no judgement, just information on how to prevent HIV.

We encourage you to join our Ryan White Services team at Community in honoring individuals who have passed, as well as celebrating the progress made in combatting the virus. Remember that testing is prevention, and the earlier the diagnosis the better the outcome.

Testing hours are on December 1 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. within the professional building at Community Hospital East (1400 North Ritter Avenue, Suite 241, Indianapolis, IN 46219).

🎃✨ Our talented teams went all out for this year's Pumpkin Decorating Contest.
The results were gourd-geous!🧡
🏆 This year's first place winner got a lot of laughs in addition to the most votes. You can see why with the Medical Oncology Department's "under the sink repair". The Cath Lab claimed second place with an "out of this world" pumpkin. Third place goes to Med/Surg Oncology who magically turned a pumpkin into a caterpillar.
🎨 Thanks to all our incredibly creative caregivers who transformed the cafeteria bringing smiles to the faces of patients, visitors, and caregivers. Happy Halloween!

We had a fantastic time at this year's Irvington Wellness Fair! Community Hospital East provided 80 free flu shots and collected almost 100 pounds of expired and unneeded medication for safe disposal. 🙌 It was great connecting with our neighbors, sharing information about healthcare services and offering free screenings. 😊 We are so glad the Irvington Wellness Fair is part of The Historic Irvington Halloween Festival. Thank you to everyone who stopped by!

Caregivers are the heart and soul of Community Hospital East, and Paige Dooley is truly at the center of it all! ❤️ As our dedicated hospital administrator, Paige is celebrating an incredible 40 years with the east side community. From starting as an RN back in 1985 to leading our team with passion and care, she has always put patients first. We celebrated this amazing milestone with a surprise party.
Happy 40th anniversary and thank you, Paige, for the incredible way you care for our community!🎉

As he retires at 88, we’re so grateful for all the compassion and comfort he's shared as a chaplain with our Community Hospital East family, especially our Spanish-speaking friends. Thank you, Fr. Who is ready for the big game tonight? The NICU babies at CHE! They are all dressed up to cheer on the Indiana Pacers. 🏀 Don't they look adorable?

Kudos to our incredible team of NICU nurses who nurture these babies with warmth and care, while also ensuring the families are well-supported and weaving celebrations like the Pacers in the NBA Finals into daily routines. How about a cheer for our hospital's home team? 📣 🙌
