The Indianapolis Associate Board of Ambassadors (ABOA) is a community of young professionals committed to the American Cancer Society's mission - saving lives by eliminating cancer - through philanthropic efforts to fund research for cures, support patients, and detection. PURPOSE:
- To raise awareness among young professionals about the American Cancer Society in the Indianapolis and Central IN community.
- To raise funds to support the programs and services provided by the American Cancer Society in our community that help support cancer patients and their caregivers. Prospective members can be nominated or can self nominate. BENEFITS:
- Networking with like-minded young professionals
- Learn from experts
- Engage in service opportunities
- Have fun while helping the American Cancer Society accomplish their mission of a world without cancer

The 2023 Patient Support Impact Report has been released and I am so excited to see all of the great work done by the American Cancer Society in one year! Here are just a few key takeaways:
· In 2023, 79.8 million lives were touched through our programs and services
· We reached 71% of the country's zip codes (that’s 21,300 communities!)
· We worked with 35 low-and middle-income countries to reduce global health disparities and improve cancer care

Our Story

MISSION: Young Professionals Leadership Coucnil (“YPLC”) is a community-based volunteer organization made up of young professionals dedicated to assisting the American Cancer Society in its mission to eliminate cancer through research, education, advocacy, and service. PURPOSE: - To raise awareness among young professionals about the American Cancer Society in the community. - To raise funds to support the programs and services provided by the American Cancer Society in our community that help support cancer patients and their caregivers. MEMBERSHIP: Members are young professionals with a strong interest in the mission of the American Cancer Society. Prospective members can be nominated or can self nominate. Members are expected to attend bi-monthly meetings, but required to attend at least 2 meetings per year. It is preferred that members serve on at least one committee. BENEFITS: - Networking with like-minded young professionals - Learn from experts - Engage in service opportunities - Have fun while helping the American Cancer Society accomplish their mission
