The mission of Autism Counseling and Behavior Consultation, Inc (“ACBCI”) is to make a positive difference in the lives of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders and their families. This is achieved while working in collaboration with the other professionals and team members aiding in the success of the individual and his or her family, both at home and in the community. ACBCI believes in the power of family and recognizes that when one element in a family is affected by change, the entire system is affected. Therefore, long term success is rooted in the education and support of every person within that system

🌎 🌍🌏Today, on World Autism Acceptance Day, Therapist Neurodiversity Collective honors and celebrates Autistic people around the globe. We are radically embracing diversity and working towards creating a more inclusive world where everyone is respected and valued for who they are.
🌟 🌟 🌟 Deconstructing autism stigma, breaking down artificial social barriers, and equitably including ALL Autistic people (children, adults, geriatric, races, ethnicities, cultures, non-speaking, and other intersecting identities) means flipping the pathology paradigm on its head 🙃and considering autism as just another example of diversity among humans.

The mission of Autism Counseling and Behavior Consultation, Inc is to make a positive difference in the lives of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders and their families. Ms. Ernsperger is committed to providing current and researched-based therapeutic interventions and working in collaboration with family and the other professionals involved in her clients’ lives. Ms. Ernsperger has the greatest respect for the individuals she works with and it is her philosophy that it is not the Autism which is the problem bringing individuals and families to therapy. What brings individuals and families to therapy is a difficulty in bridging the gap between communication styles, perspectives and, in general, how we experience the world. She considers the unique neurology of those on the spectrum as well as the unique neurology of those considered “neurotypical” when helping her clients learn effective communication and coping skills-at home, the work place and in the community. Ms. Ernsperger believes in the power of family and recognizes that when one element in a family is affected by change, the entire system is affected. Therefore, long term success is rooted in the education and support of every person within that system.
