📊 New findings from the Guttmacher Institute show that contraceptive need remains high across the U.S.
Using a refreshed, person‑centered metric, Guttmacher reports that 21.5 million women nationwide likely needed public support for contraceptive services in 2023—driven by financial barriers and the need for confidential care among younger women.
🌟 Here in Indiana, that need is significant. Based on the newest Guttmacher data on contraceptive need, an estimated 478,850 Hoosier women may require public support for contraceptive services and supplies.
Access to essential reproductive health care shouldn’t depend on income—every Hoosier deserves the ability to plan their future with dignity, choice, and care.
💙 Let’s continue working toward a healthier, more equitable Indiana.
