Prep I wrote for coaching & therapy clients today - Events vs. Experiences:

"At events you watch someone else be creative. And you sit there while they take ownership of the stage.

Experiences are intimate, curated and require your full body participation as a vital part.

At events you sit on the sidelines and consume without having to be expressive, vulnerable, intimate or connected yourself. You wait to be wowed & entertained.

There is no creative courage required. You can instead be an artistic critic, observe & evaluate and maybe even deeply appreciate. But you don't have to get involved.

You sit still, watch a stage and do not move, express, expand, experiment or falter. You avoid the creator role that is built through feeling the internal & external mess. You do not become open or vulnerable. You let others take the intimacy risk.

Our work today moves you out of life events and makes you your life designer.

Design sounds good. But it is active labor.

An event happens to you. You wait on the show or life to happen to you, lead you, and guide you. To tell you you're doing it right. To help you stay affirmed and entertained.

Experience on the other hand is connective & based on what you are willing to create.

You must determine and meet your own desires and needs through lived practice and protocol. You gift yourself the design and experience of these practices. Only then can you invite others to participate through co-creation.

In designing your life experiences in the role of creator - you are empowered and design your own celebrations of yourself.

Others can not rescue you - especially from your relationship with yourself.

On screen or in live event, others cannot stimulate you, enliven you or entertain you. You are not an audience member, your life is more than a series of events.

As an experience designer, you internally become vulnerable, become messy in the creative studio & design the experience you have with yourself. Ready? Let's begin."

I think its important to know who you are getting coaching, therapy and counseling from. This is me 👇🏽. I'm Mishara.

✅️Originally I was a cult survivor who learned how to leave unsupportive environments and build & sustain in supportive ones. So I teach that. With scientific evidence & lived experience.

☀️️I learned how the outdoors & safe experiences to practice emotional skills could help regulate my nervous system and reduce symptoms of PTSD. So I teach that.

✅️I learned to train my nervous system to see life's unpredictable ups and downs as an adventure. So that I would not go into a freeze, flight, fawn or fight response - as a reaction to enviornmental challenges and chaos. I teach that.

☀️️I trained as an adventure therapist to use brain science techniques so clients nervous systems would not see unpredictability as such automatic danger they could not recover & strategize. I teach that.

✅️I teach people boundaries in ways that build connection instead of creating the deep fears of loss of connection and community. Boundaries as a nervous system "yes," not a end of connection "no."

☀️️I trained in somatic and talk based therapies that help people with PTSD, ADHD, Anxiety & big life transitions [perimenopause, new relationships, new places & new roles]. So I teach that.

✅️I help people to listen to their nervous systems and partner with them without being overwhelmed by fear so they can, prioritize thier wellness sustainability & put their gifts into the world.

☀️ ️I too practice all of this in my own life.
I am not perfect at this myself [thank goodness!], so I teach people to track progress & practice not perfectionism.

☀️I love working with people who experience outside pressure to be amazing & inspirational. As well as folks who are simply determined to be successful while staying true to self.

☀️I do this with rest, play, and wellness strategy that break us out of the nervous system havoc that is fear & survival mode.

☀️And of course I also work with folks discreetly leaving high control [family, religious, professional, cultural & social] groups safely & forming boundaried, joyful & healthy relationships.

Ready for some good news? As of this week, for the 1st time in 5 years, I accept health insurance for my nervous system regulation somatic [body and mind] licensed therapy.

Starting today, you can book your consult and we can begin getting you excellent results – with payment through Aetna, Anthem BCBS, IU Health, United, Optum, Oscar & Oxford, in addition to usual fully out-of-pocket self-pay clients. Sessions are virtual.

CRAVE coaching also remains in full force for my clients around the country and the world. My specializations and client types are below.

Techniques used:
1. Somatic (body-based) therapy + Talk (traditional) therapy.
2. Adventure and play-based therapies for the nervous system regulation of adults training your body and brain navigate both uplifting and deeply challenging matters with less internal pressure.

Our brains scan our environments to confirm what we already believe. Including about ourselves.

We project the belief onto each new situation, person, or experience. We look for & focus on it - so we find it.

This includes wealth, joy, support, security, rest, connection, encouragement, opportunity, etc.

I help my clients focus on play because their nervous system then looks for opportunities to remove unnecessary pressure and engage with exploration, experimentation & enjoyment in the midst of their goals.
