A Note to Our Valued Patients: As we continue to grow and evolve, we will be consolidating our practice to the North Meridian & Zionsville clinics, and integrating our Fishers clinic with our North Meridian location. 🏥 That means our Fishers location will close & our team is relocating to North Meridian, effective May 4. 🗓️

Our Fishers team and the same great one-on-one care you know & appreciate will be moving with us and we hope you'll join us in this next chapter of the Body One PT journey! 💙 We can't wait to bring the best of both clinics together in one place! 👍

For questions, please reach out to our Fishers front office team or your physical therapist. 📱

April is at Body One! Learn more about vertigo & balance this month:

🚫Myth: "I think I have vertigo. I just need to wait for it to go away."
✔️Fact: Nope! Especially with BPPV, quick diagnosis & treatment can mean the difference between suffering for weeks (or months) and getting relief.

Specially trained physical therapists can utilize manual treatment to treat the cause of BPPV: tiny crystals in your inner ear that are out of place. The manual treatment can reposition these crystals and relieve the spinning sensation. PT can work in as few as 1-3 sessions!

If the room spins 😵 when you lie down, don't wait: call us! 📲

April is ! Pickleball is fun, but injuries are NOT! ❌

Players of all ages are seeking medical care after falling in love with this game... and ending up with an injury. 😞 Here's what to watch out for:

⚠️ Knee & ankle sprains from sudden direction changes
⚠️ Elbow tendinitis ("pickleball elbow" is real!)
⚠️ Shoulder overuse injuries from repetitive swinging
⚠️ Falls on hard courts: a leading cause of fractures (especially in older adults)

How to have fun & help prevent injury:
✔️Warm up properly
✔️Invest in court shoes that support side-to-side movement
✔️Know your limits & stop if you experience pain
✔️Check with a PT about new or existing pain

The game is a blast, but don't let one match sideline you for months! If you need help getting -or staying- on the court, call !

Sarcopenia sounds a little intimidating, but it just means age-related muscle loss that affects strength & function. This process usually starts at age 30 and speeds up after age 60. 👀

What can you do? 🤷‍♀️
Stay active! ✔️
Lift weights or do body-weight exercise ✔️
Focus on nutrition, eating plenty of protein! ✔️
Work with a PT ✔️

The cycle of muscle loss --> mobility loss --> muscle loss can be broken, especially by working with a musculoskeletal expert!
