❓❓What is Extraordinary Care?❓❓

Indiana FSSA now offers an Extraordinary Care Allowance for families providing intensive care through Attendant Care or PAC services.

This applies when a parent or spouse provides care that goes far beyond typical daily support — like trach care, ventilator support, TPN, severe seizure monitoring, IV meds, or complex wound care.

To qualify, needs must be in the Person‑Centered Plan and approved by FSSA. Medicaid case managers or coordinator submit requests with physician documentation.
