Room 5121. The treasured west facing “sunset room” 🌅
We never got this room in 20 inpatient stays. But fittingly, we are here while she sunsets her 6 cycle treatment.
Little did we know, the view would be the first snowfall ❄️
Ava is hanging tough and we are over halfway through this last stay. Please Jesus, let this treatment work. 🙏🏼🎗️

Somehow, Ava’s bloodwork was great again. The medical staff was convinced she would’ve already needed a transfusion by now and so were we. But here we are. We celebrated by using a gift card from good people and it’s no surprise which bear she picked. Indiana Pacers have had the best fan right under their nose! 💙💛🏀

Pet scan showed that chemo is still working. Lymph node is a little smaller and less glow on the scan. The disease is still there, but we are heading in the right direction. We will continue with the last 2 out of 6 sessions then radiation. Thank you so much for the prayer. Every single one counts. We will have to pick up the Jesus talks even more for the next 6 weeks or so, but for today we can breathe with a bit of relief 💛 🙏🏼

I know we ask for prayer all the time but when you have a kid with a serious illness, you pray every second you’re awake. From the moment you open your eyes to the very last moment you finally fall asleep late at night, you’re praying they are healed. Even when the front of your mind is actively doing something else, the back of your brain has never stopped thinking about her. It’s exhausting but extremely difficult to stop. This Thursday, October 9 is her pet scan. If you would be so kind, please say a prayer Wednesday evening at 9pm. We love Ava so much and need every good vibe. Thank you 🙏🏼💛🎗️
