January 14.
Nobody says Happy Diagnosis Day. It’s a reminder of how your entire life can change so drastically in a matter of moments. Every decision, every reaction and every reason for doing what we do has been affected by this one day. Yes, it’s been difficult and emotional and sad. But again, it’s shown us both what is important and all the things that are so not important. We are living in a new era of purposefully enjoying our time and loving each other 💛

Merry Christmas Eve from IU Health Simon Cancer Center!! 🎄 We almost prefer Christmas Eve to Christmas Day. Maybe it’s the anticipation, the excitement for the unknown, or that we are always together on this night. But the hope of it all is what gets us through everything. Results are in. There are no new spots anywhere, the spine and lung have remained the same since radiation last year, and the lesions in the lymph nodes have not only decreased in size but the diseased cells are necrotic, meaning they’re dying. Moving on to 30 sessions of radiation. Monday through Friday for 6 weeks starting December 8. Our hope is that this treatment will go in and seal the deal on those spots near her hip. Thanks once again for your prayers and love. Living through this is tough, but we are grateful we are together and still experiencing happiness 🙏🏼🎗️🫶🏼💛
