Hi, Everyone!
Our Heart and Lung Transplant Support group meeting is scheduled for Monday, December 22, 2025, in Professional Center 2, Conference Room DG422A, and via Zoom.
Our speaker will be Shivani Patel, PsyD, Clinical Health Psychology Postdoctoral Fellow, IU School of Medicine.

There are also plans for a holiday pitch-in like last year!

***TxJet Tour***

Have you ever wondered how organs are transported? TxJet partners with transplant centers and organizations throughout the U.S. to retrieve organs. Here’s your chance to learn first-hand from the pilots and see the aircraft. We have been invited to tour the TxJet facility at the Indianapolis Airport on June 23rd at 6:00pm.

Many of you visited in 2024 and thought the tour and pilot discussions were inspiring. This year is expected to be another unique experience. Jamie Adams, Director, Aviation Services will welcome us with a reception, highlight aircraft fleet additions, and once again, we’ll be able speak with TxJet pilots.

We hope you will be able to join us on June 23rd at 6:00pm! Directions are at the bottom of this email.

Hi, Everyone!

Our Heart and Lung Transplant Support group meeting is scheduled for April 28, 2025, at 6:00pm in Professional Center 2, Conference Room.

Our speaker will be Jamie Adams, Director, Aviation Services, TxJet.

Some of you may remember touring the airport facility last year with Jamie and other pilots. There were more than 40 people attending who learned about how he and his pilots are part of the organ donation process. Jamie is always happy to meet with our group and we can expect some interesting information at our meeting.

April is Donate Life Month, so it is especially nice for TxJet to be with us again.

The next Heart and Lung Transplant Support Group Meeting (in person and Zoom) is scheduled for Monday, March 24, 2025, at 6:00pm. The location is Professional Center 2, Ground Floor, Conference Room DG422A.

Our speaker will be Jennifer Weber, 3-time lung transplant recipient (2 at Methodist and one at Duke in Durham, NC), musician, attorney, athlete with Team Indiana - Transplant Games of America, and active volunteer in the community especially with Indiana Donor Network and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, as well as being our transplant group newsletter editor!

Please come to see Jen and listen to her very interesting and inspiring stories.

The Indiana Donor Network Foundation scholarship fund was established to support immediate family members of Indiana organ and tissue donors, living organ donors, transplant recipients and people waiting for lifesaving organs and their immediate family members.

It is our hope that by providing scholarships, the selected recipients will help further public education about organ, tissue and eye donation and transplantation during and after their academic endeavors.

Full qualification details are available for download on the application webpage, and the scholarship winners will be selected by the Indiana Donor Network Scholarship Committee. Applications close Monday, March 17.
