🌟 Please join us in congratulating our Star of The Week, Timothy!🌟
Timothy is a 59 year old male who previously lived at a group home. He ambulated with a straight cane and was independent with self care. While at the group home he had a fall due to a syncopal episode. He was admitted to the hospital and found to have sepsis.
Timothy was transferred to The Waters of Indianapolis August 8, 2025. At time of admission he was evaluated by Occupational and Physical therapy. He was found to have generalized weakness, decreased balance, and decreased activity tolerance. He was dependent with transfers and was unable to ambulate. He was able to complete grooming, upper body bathing and upper body dressing independently. He required maximal/total assist with lower body bathing, dressing, and toileting. Timothy was extremely motivated and worked hard during his OT/PT sessions. He was able to regain his strength, improve his balance and activity tolerance. He is currently able to transfer himself independently! He is able to ambulate 150 feet with a straight cane with SBA. He is independent with all self care tasks, except for having supervision for safety when taking a shower.
Timothy has a goal to return to community living and is currently looking for housing. Everyone at The Waters of Indianapolis is proud of Mr French for the progress he has made and we hope he will be able to discharge back to the community soon!
