SANTOSHA // CONTENTMENT
Santosha is an inside job. No one or nothing outside of you can make you content. Santosha, contentment is a choice your soul makes in this lifetime.
It is a recognition that nothing external informs your path to contentment. Accept life as it unfolds before you, choose not to manipulate the world or others around you, nor spend energy grasping for something to be different, or better.
Instead, follow the magic left in the messages of your soul, of your ancestors, and that of the universe. Your soul knows the way, trust it, follow it, and be content with each moment for the beauty of the unfolding.
Contentment for me has gone beyond that I think I want in my life and has led me back to a sense of presence and acceptance. When I reflect over the past several years I recognize that I am EXACTLY where I wanted to be at that time.
Santosha is the reminder that it takes time to make all our dreams come true; it is in the process, the journey, that we lean into contentment, nonattachment, and non-excess. I know that ALL I could ever need or want already exists for me!
