Hi there, it’s been a minute!
Quiet feed= full schedule around here 😊
The practice is at capacity and the waitlist is maxed out.

I’ll be taking a couple of admin days to prep summer evaluation slots and fall scheduling. If you are on my list to receive OT services in the fall- look for my email next week with available slots to choose from.

And if you know any great OTs/OTAs that are looking for the most fulfilling work- send them my way 💕

I have a new helpful tool to share with you!.the.dots.indy is now able to further assess a child’s perceptual skills related to reading and writing using the Jordan Left-Right Reversal Test. It’s a game-changer for helping kids who mix up letters, numbers, or left vs. right.

Why it matters:
✅ Laterality (knowing left from right) is key for smooth reading, writing, and coordination.
✅ Research-backed, quick to use, and spot-on at finding where a child needs support.
✅ Comes with built-in interventions, so we don’t just test—we help kids improve right away.

Let’s be real- working with and caring for kids is tough on our bodies. All of the floortime, lifting, awkward positions, wheelbarrow walking 🙃 etc had me in rough shape for a little while.
Enter: this amazing PT, , who is now practicing out of 🙌🏽

I am a bit selective when it comes to providers, so trust me when I say, she knows her stuff! Do yourself a favor… don’t let your little problems turn into bigger problems. If you need an adult PT, chat with Andrea 🤸‍♂️

🧩✨ Fun + Learning = Skills for Life! Try this activity at home or in the classroom to build visual scanning, working memory, and attention in a playful way!

1. Can you find what you’re looking for? Visual scanning and figure-ground skills help kids spot what they need—whether it’s a puzzle piece, their folder in class, or matching socks in the morning!

2. Working memory! He’s memorizing five words—just like when kids need to remember directions or spelling words in class.

3. Writing each word strengthens recall, motor planning, and learning success! This is also a great time to work on strategies for holding on to information while shifting attention to a new motor task.

This season has been full of joy, helping tiny muscles do big things at .the.dots.indy 🌟

and .the.dots.indy got the team back together (plus one- welcome Millie!!👶🏻), for a “pop in and play” session with our preschoolers at . We sang, danced, colored and laced our way through the morning. Then we chatted and splatted colors all over Pete the Cat’s white shoes 🎨👟.
The kids got a glimpse of speech and occupational therapy in action. It was so fun to share this with our littles and their buds 🫶🏼
