My name is Rochelle and I was diagnosed with FMS in 2012 but have had symptoms since I was a child.

This group is a place for anyone who would like to vent or just get some support with their FMS. This is just simply a place to come on in and vent and feel free to voice how you are feeling, this is not just for invisible illnesses, it is for anyone who wishes to be apart of this group. Now a little about me just so you all know :) I was diagnosed by a physical therapist in 2009 with Fm and never did much research on it and then once I started getting worse I started looking for answers and I finally went to see a Rhumatologist in early 2012 and he stated that yes I do have FM and it is a pretty moderate case, I have also been diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis, and Osteoarthritis.

They don’t know because they didn’t listen.

Not the first time we tried to explain.
Not the second time we softened it.
Not after we learned which words made them comfortable.

They changed the subject.
Called us “so strong.”
Suggested yoga like it was new information.

So we adjusted.
We learned when to shut up.
We learned how to stay pleasant while the clock crawled.

“I’m fine” became the admission price.

But the truth never left.
The pain stayed.
The meds kept lining the counter.
The grief settled in and made itself at home.

We didn’t stop hurting.
We stopped explaining ourselves to people who benefited from not understanding.

The victims of fibromyalgia often undergo pain in shoulders, upper arms or clavicle. This pain is like the usual symptoms of fibromyalgia. Clavicle is the collar bone that runs between the shoulder blade and breast bone. Some people experience this pain when they are tired or when they do repetitive motions, while others are the victims of continuous pain.
