We offer a variety of holistic services and natural therapies that complement our patient-based care. We pay close attention to each individual patient’s past and present lifestyle as we assess and evaluate for root causes of dis-ease and distress. We put forth a lot of time and effort in building a plan of action that is congruent with your goals, your finances, and your lifestyle. While all fields of medicine are truly a practice, we strive to base treatments and recommendations on clinical experience and science, intermixed with a little bit of common sense. We typically approach our patients protocols and plans based on 3 continuous steps or cycles …
1. ASSESS
In determining underlying causes of the signs and symptoms and addressing health issues at the root of the problem requires proper evaluation. We have a variety of tools to assess lifestyle habits, biochemistry and physiology, and genetics. Not all are appropriate or necessary for everyone, but in general we offer the following assessment guides:
SUBJECTIVE HEALTH QUESTIONNAIRES
allow us to target lifestyle triggers as well as symptom indicators of organ or system dysfunction
PHYSICAL ASSESSMENTS (HANDS-ON)
routine checks like blood pressure are helpful but limited; we often check for multi-positional blood pressures, cranial balance, structural and tonal imbalances, scar tissue, digestive tension, tongue, eye and finger nail assessments, clotting times, and more
EXTENSIVE LABORATORY TESTING
through blood, saliva, urine, stool and hair we can assess a variety of biochemical markers and physiological indicators. Metabolic and hormonal assessment
Gastrointestinal assessment (intestinal permeability, parasites and pathogens, etc)
Brain/Neurotransmitter assessment
Liver detoxification/Toxicity screening (glutathione pathways, heavy metals, etc)
NON-INVASIVE TECHNOLOGY
cutting-edge advancements in evaluating the function of the body, especially the neurological system, are painless and cost-effective. Through our non-invasive technology we can evaluate …
Heart rate variability
Tonal changes of nerve and muscle tissue
Inflammation and blood flow changes
2. ADDRESS
There may be several roads to a patient’s recovery. Our goal is to find the path that best meets each individual’s goals, lifestyle, and commitment. We offer many tools and avenues to restore function and homeostasis with minimal risk and side effects. Whether a gentle, easy approach is best or more intense, hands-on work is necessary … we tailor each treatment plan to each individual and continue to assess and modify along the journey. PROFESSIONAL GRADE NUTRACEUTICAL THERAPY
We strive to carry and/or recommend only the cleaneast products from companies that practice good manufacturing processes and support. We are always expanding and researching products for potency, purity, and results… some of our favorites are:
Biotics Research, Klaire Labs, ProThera, Ecological Formulations, Neuroscience, Metagenics, Premier Research Labs, Standard Process, Pure Encapsulations, Nordic Naturals, and several independent and local companies. HOLISTIC HEALTH COUNSELING
Working one-on-one to develop your plan, track your progress and flare-ups or set backs, and continues customization with your growth and progress is an essential part of most people’s road to recovery. We are available at many levels of support and accountability through in-office appointments, phone consultations, and “quick text” responses. IN-OFFICE TREATMENTS and THERAPIES
Finding the best technique and therapy protocol is very customized and never a cookie-cutter or assembly-line approach. Our hands-on treatments include:
Holistic, gentle chiropractic care (hands on and instrument available for all ages)
Craniopathy and Sacral Blocking (the doctor’s structural version of craniosacral)
Digestive Therapy / Abdominal Massage
Cold Laser Therapy (aka Low Level Laser Therapy)
Graston Technique
3. RE-ASSESS
The re-assessment component is essential to provide further information on progress and changes as well as underlying issues that require additional work and attention. Often times functional improvements begin before patients feel “well” and the re-assessment step is extremely helpful in showing how your function is improving and goes beyond symptom-only treatment and evaluation. Some patients are re-assessed at every visit, some of our wellness patients opt for yearly follow-ups to catch imbalances and dysfunctions before symptoms or problems present. This step is important for both doctor and patient.
