Today marks 3 months of my heart transplant. God is so good. 1st picture is day of transplant the other one is today. I have had some rough days but with God's guidance he has given me the strength to keep pushing forward with the great gift of a fresh start

I had my Heart Cath and Biopsy yesterday. I am pleased to update everyone that it all came back normal. The new heart is working great. They were able to decrease 2 of my medications. God is so good. I love you all and thank everyone for all the support and messages. They mean a lot to me. I know there will be tons of ups and downs and so blessed to have the people I do in my life.

I know I haven't updated much. I have been resting a lot. I am getting stronger everyday but having difficulty resting with all the steroids I'm on. I had a great day yesterday and today with 2 of my girls. God is so good

I am going to state this here even though mom is home she still needs tons of rest yes it’s nice to get the texts and calls but please keep it to a minimum and respectful as you did when she was in the hospital she is catching up on rest and that’s really important 💚

Today I got released from the hospital it has been a long journey and the doctor said the next year will be a rollercoaster. I say with God, family and friends. I am ready for the ride. Please continue to hold all of us in your prayers as weekly appointments and blood draws, weekly biopsies qnd tons of immune suppression medications are in our future and give me the strength as I am a big people person to be able to stay in the guidelines and not be in any crowds. I love you all.

Today the doctors let my OT take me outside to feel some fresh air. It was so nice. This helped my mind more than I can ever explain. To feel the crisp fall air touch my face was a big blessing. The small things you use to take advantage of touches differently when you go through a experience like this. I can't believe Thursday it will be a month that I received my new heart and new start to life

I wanted to give everyone a update. The other day they found build up in my lining of my heart but the biopsy came back normal yesterday so that is excellent news. They started me on a chemo medication called rituxan yesterday we will see if I have to continue treatment if so I will have to come to Indy for that. I walked yesterday morning and went up and back down a flight of stairs. My legs r like jello literally but I know God will give me the strength I need. Hopefully will be home next week but I ask if everyone could please stay away as my immune system is completely depleted and with treatment yesterday even more. I love you all so much and please keep praying because our God is so good.. today is week 3 with our new heart

This woman has been a big strength for me from the time I was admitted. She is my OT her name is Becca. She is a true Gem. She has braided my hair and even actually washed it for me in my chair. She is one of those Angels among us. I will miss her terribly but I pray she knows I will hold her caring heart for the rest of my life.
