SOHO: A Pathway From Crisis to HOPE
SOHO is a U.S.–based 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving vulnerable children in Eswatini through three interconnected programs that guide them from crisis to stability, healing, and a future filled with HOPE.
✨ 1. Marekamp Squatters Camp
Here, children living in extreme poverty receive their first lifeline—a daily balanced meal, safety, and supportive outreach. Preschoolers are bused to our Hope Discovery Learning Center, and weekends are filled with church, sports, singing, and learning activities that build confidence and purpose.
✨ 2. Hope Discovery Learning Center (HDLC)
Our preschool in Nhlambeni provides early education, counseling, nutrition, and enrichment for Eswatini's most vulnerable children. Preschoolers learn reading, writing, math, art, social skills, and enjoy daily meals in a secure environment. After graduation, students receive sponsorship support to stay in school.
✨ 3. Lentsaba Children’s Village
For children who have no safe home to return to, Lentsaba offers long-term residential care grounded in trauma-informed healing. At LCV, children experience stability, belonging, nutritious food, spiritual nurturing, and access to quality education in a restorative community designed to help them thrive.
Together, these three programs form a continuum of care—meeting children where they are, protecting them from harm, and walking with them toward a brighter tomorrow. 💛
