The Mindful Me Series by NAMI is designed to meet young people where they are—curious, growing,
and learning to navigate big emotions. Through hands-on, age-appropriate activities, students explore their feelings, understand what they mean, and discover healthy ways to manage them.

Activities are organized by grade level (K–2, 3–5, and 6–8) and are flexible for use in classrooms, after-school programs, or community spaces. Each 15–30-minute activity includes:

• A clear goal and step-by-step instructions

• A simple materials list

• Reflection questions that spark
meaningful conversations

• Adaptation tips for diverse needs
These activities help build resilience, empathy, and self-awareness—laying the foundation for lifelong emotional health.

As the youth mental health crisis in Indiana continues to escalate, aims to provide support and education through NAMI in the Lobby, a mental health support program currently active at Riley Hospital for Children. "For years, NAMI Indiana leaders and volunteers have heard families say the same thing: “I wish I had known about NAMI sooner.” Parents and caregivers, in particular, often express how difficult it is to find the right support and resources during a mental health crisis.
That’s why NAMI Indiana created NAMI in the Lobby—a program designed to meet families where they are, providing support, education, and resources right when they need them most.
