When you do a skin check, make sure you know your ABCDEs! If any of your moles have the following traits, it's time to see a dermatologist.
A - Is your mole asymmetrical?
B - Does it have irregular or poorly defined borders?
C - Is it a variety of colors or different from the typical single shade of brown?
D - Is the diameter larger than a pencil eraser?
E - Has your mole evolved over time?

Did you know that several presidents have been diagnosed with skin cancer? Joe Biden, Ronald Regan, and Lyndon B. Johnson all had spots removed. Jimmy Carter was successfully treated for invasive melanoma, and George Washington was suspected to have had skin cancer as well.
