Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear gloves and pull plastic from rivers. 🌍💙

Together with our partner at , we’re helping remove plastic before it reaches the ocean to protect wildlife, waterways, and the ecosystems they depend on.

This recent cleanup in the Bomo Village is just one example of the real, on-the-ground work happening to stop plastic pollution at its source. Every piece of debris removed helps create safer habitats for marine life and a healthier planet for future generations.

In total, we removed 541.8 pounds of plastic waste across 16 sacks (that’s equivalent to 26,006 plastic bottles!) a powerful reminder of how quickly pollution can accumulate in small waterways when waste is not managed responsibly.

At Endangered Species Chocolate, we’re proud to be Ocean Plastic Neutral and we are deepening our impact through a Pull-A-Pound partnership with 4ocean. We are on a mission to remove 1 million pounds of plastic and debris from the ocean, rivers, and coastlines by the end of 2028.

🌊 Every cleanup makes a difference.
🐢 Every action protects wildlife.
🍫 Every bar helps support a better future.

Thank you for being a part of our journey to a better planet.🌍💙

Today on World Wildlife Day, we’re reminded that the ocean doesn’t belong to us, it belongs to them, too.💙🌎

Every year, sea turtles and other marine life become trapped in plastic pollution left behind in their home.

Thanks to organizations like , thousands of pounds of plastic are removed from our oceans, giving wildlife a second chance.

At Endangered Species Chocolate, protecting wildlife isn’t just something we talk about. It’s built into every bar.

A portion of our profits supports conservation efforts that help protect species and their habitats around the world.

Because a cleaner ocean means a safer home.

And it’s their home too. 💙🌎

Sorry, I just needed to see a sloth… 🦥🌿

5 facts about sloths:

1️⃣ Sloths can take up to a month to digest one meal.
2️⃣ They only come down from trees about once a week (usually to go to the bathroom).
3️⃣ Sloths can turn their heads up to 270 degrees, almost like an owl.
4️⃣ Their fur can grow algae, which helps them blend into the trees.
5️⃣ Despite being slow on land, they’re actually strong swimmers. 🌊

And with our Caramel + 48% Milk Chocolate bar, we’re helping bring awareness to the plight of the sloth, supporting conservation efforts while sharing seriously delicious chocolate. 🍫

🧡🦧🐒 A tiny baby monkey named Punch, abandoned at birth, holding tightly to a stuffed orangutan for comfort, it’s no wonder Punch has captured so many hearts.🥹

His story is tender, but it’s also a reminder.

Wildlife is fragile.
Young animals rely on safety, stability, and protection.
Moments like this move us, but they can also motivate us.

At Endangered Species Chocolate, every bar supports conservation efforts that help protect wildlife and the ecosystems they depend on. 🌿🍫

Because caring about animals shouldn’t end with a viral video.

It should turn into action that helps keep wildlife wild, where they belong. 🌎

Today, we’re spotlighting the sea turtle with our Blueberry 72% Dark Chocolate bar.🐢🫐🍫

Sea turtles are incredible long-distance travelers, migrating thousands of miles between feeding and nesting grounds, and yet all seven species are considered threatened, endangered, or vulnerable due to human impacts like habitat loss, plastic pollution, and accidental capture in fishing gear.

Plastic pollution is one of the greatest threats they face. Over 50% of sea turtles worldwide have ingested plastic, often mistaking it for food like jellyfish according to a study from Global Change Biology. Even small amounts can cause internal injuries or blockages.

Nesting season is no easier. Many females return to the exact beach they were born on to lay their eggs, but coastal development and lights can disorient hatchlings trying to make it to the sea. It’s estimated that only 1 in 1,000 hatchlings survives to adulthood in the wild according to NOAA Fisheries.

Every bar we create helps protect wildlife like this. That’s why we’re proud to be a Partner. Our partnership helps remove plastic and trash directly from the ocean and coastlines, while driving awareness and action.🌊🐢💙

Because protecting what’s wild should be as intentional as what’s in your chocolate.
