In honor of , we were thrilled to host Indiana Fever stars Aliyah Boston and Makayla Timpson at the historic Crispus Attucks Museum today. They explored Indiana state history and the legacy of the first all-Black high school in Indiana, including the legendary 1955 state championship basketball team.

The Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame recently announced its 64th Men’s Induction Class, and the late Richard “Boo” Ellis—a 1962 Crispus Attucks High School graduate, standout athlete, and longtime IPS employee—will take his rightful place among Indiana’s basketball greats.

This year’s class features 18 inductees across eras and roles, including players, coaches, and contributors who helped shape Indiana’s basketball story. For IPS, Ellis’ selection is both a celebration and a reflection of the powerful legacy Crispus Attucks has built on and off the court.
