❤️ Testimony Tuesday ❤️

I never expected to have a heart attack—especially not one caused by SCAD.
I mean I know heart problems run on my Mom's side of the family and being overweight didn't help. But I never thought a heart attack would happen to me.
Just a normal day turned into a life-changing one.
In the middle of the fear and confusion, one thing was clear: God was with me. I felt His peace in the ambulance, His presence in the hospital, and His strength in every step of recovery. It hasn’t been easy, but He’s been faithful.
This journey has reminded me that life is fragile, but God is steady. He’s still healing me—body, mind, and spirit. And if you’re going through something scary or unexpected, I hope you know He’s with you too.
*Still here, still healing, and still holding on to His promises.*

Simple Sunday Reminder: Your Heart Loves Movement ❤️
Just a little walking each day — even 30 minutes — can make a big difference for your heart. It helps lower blood pressure, boost energy, and improve your mood too.
No need for fancy workouts. Lately, it's been hard for me to walk since my kiddo doesn't want to go with me. So I've been doing walking aerobics inside our home.
You can also fit in walking in other ways:
• A walk around the block after dinner
• Taking the stairs instead of the elevator
• A stroll with your dog or a friend
Drop a ❤️ in the comments and let me know how you get your steps in.

🥗Eat for a Healthier Heart🥗
Looking for a simple way to boost your heart health? Try tossing some leafy greens into your lunch or dinner. Spinach, kale, and Swiss chard are loaded with vitamins, fiber, and heart-loving nutrients.
One of my favorites? Arugula. It has a peppery kick without the bitterness—perfect for fresh salads that keep things interesting.
Below is one of my favorite salads to make either for lunch or dinner. A bed of arugula leaves topped with sweet and spicy tuna, grape tomatoes, and English cucumbers with a touch of Tajin & lime vinaigrette.
Small changes on your plate can lead to big changes in your health. 💔💔 Know the Signs 💔💔
Heart attacks don’t always look the same, especially for women. Signs can be subtle: shortness of breath, unusual fatigue, nausea, even jaw or back pain. These symptoms are often dismissed or misunderstood. When I had my heart attack, I had a sharp pain my chest that radiated to my back, down my left arm, and the top of my head.
It’s time to talk openly and change that. If something feels off, listen to your body and speak up! Visit the American Heart Association website to learn more.

I’m choosing to prioritize my health—not just for myself, but for those I love, especially my baby girl. So far, I've been reaching my post cardiac rehab goals: better nutrition, more movement, less stress, and a whole lot of self-love. Well, the less stress part is still a work-on-progress, but at least I know how to handle it better.
So...I'm curious, what’s one small step YOU’RE taking today for your heart? ❤️❤️❤️

In late January 2025, I ended up in the emergency room with a blood pressure reading of 250/147. To say it was a wake-up call is an understatement. I honestly thank God I didn’t have a stroke.
I knew I’d been under a lot of stress, but I had no idea it was affecting my heart that badly. The only real sign I had was a bit of chest pain earlier that day—but it went away, so I brushed it off.
Looking back, I realize how dangerous that was.
I'm sharing this because high blood pressure doesn’t always come with clear warning signs. It can sneak up on you, and by the time you realize something’s wrong, it might be too late.
Below is a blood pressure chart I found helpful — from normal to dangerously high. Please, don’t wait until something goes wrong. Get your blood pressure checked regularly. Take care of yourself. Your life truly might depend on it..

After graduating from cardiac rehab, I knew I had to stay committed to exercising and treating my body right—but I also needed accountability. Thanks to our church's summer small groups, I found exactly what I needed for the next phase of my heart health journey.
I joined The Forty Forty Challenge, where we walk/run virtually and focus on both our physical and spiritual health through the Book of John.
I also joined the 40 Day Sugar Fast where we abstain from added sugars for 40 days and rely on God for comfort instead of sugar.
I'm truly excited about both groups—the accountability, the community, and the opportunity to grow even closer to God through it all.
God kept me on this Earth for a reason, and I want to live long enough to fulfill His purpose. Grateful for this journey and eager to see where He leads me next!

Today marks a big victory—I've officially graduated from cardiac rehab! It’s been a journey filled with hard work, determination, and LITERALLY, a lot of heart. I’m beyond grateful for the support of my amazing healthcare team, family, and friends who have cheered me on every step of the way.
This is not the end. It’s the beginning of a stronger and healthier heart. I'm cherishing every heartbeat God has blessed me with—grateful for this milestone and the journey ahead! 💜💜💜

Well, today's the day. My last day of cardiac rehab. ❤️❤️❤️
