Grateful to spend two days at Autism New Jersey learning and connecting with a bunch of great people!

I get to share some of my knowledge this morning at the conference: Enhancing Caregiver Flexibility and Purpose. This work is a labor of love for me. Some really beautiful views here as well in Atlantic City.

I had the opportunity to spend an hour today with Indy Counseling Professionals, talking about ACT-Enhanced Behavior Therapy and the Comprehensive Behavioral Model. Grateful to collaborate with a practice that is devoted to quality treatment of folks with BFRBs!

It's been a while since I've made a post - since July 2023, in fact. To say I've been busy and overwhelmed would be putting it lightly. I am still so very grateful to do this work, AND the demands of day-to-day living take a lot out of me. As some of you may know, I have been full-time employed by the Department of Veterans Affairs and operating my practice on an evening and weekend basis. This doesn't include the research projects I am involved in and the supervision and mentorship that I provide to a select few folks, nor my role as President of the ACT for Military SIG within ACBS. This is also not delving into my family life, a desire to engage in my hobbies (playing music mostly), and the other facets of life that matter to me.

I am shocked when people continue to tolerate my slowness in responding to emails, my lack of organization, and my overall challenges in managing all of this.

Thank you for sticking around - thank you to my friends who accept me when I don't reply back quickly- and thank you to my family who is always there to support me.

I think some changes will be coming at some point this year. I have to make them so that I can more fully live my values. Currently considering how to declutter my professional and personal life so that I can more fully serve the people I care about, AND live a values-driven life. There's always an opportunity to return back to values.
