The Stork’s Nest is located in Indianapolis, Indiana, and is Indiana’s only agency that focuses exclusively on gestational surrogacy and egg donation. Gestational Surrogacy is a type of third-party reproduction where a woman carries a child for another couple or individual that is not genetically related to her. We offer services to couples, individuals, and LGBT intended parents. Our mission is to build strong, successful families through our detailed screening process of the aspiring parents and surrogate to ensure the long-term well-being of all individuals involved in the process, including the future child(ren). Our surrogacy program and egg donation program are designed with intended parents, gestational surrogates, and egg donors in mind to make each step along the way enjoyable. The Stork's Nest offers an additional layer of protection to both the surrogate and intended parent(s) that might not otherwise happen if an agency is not used. The surrogate will be protected by ensuring that she receives fair and just compensation, ongoing psychological support, and treatment. The intended parents also receive protection by knowing that their surrogate has been through many screening processes to ensure that she is a top quality candidate with their best interests at heart. We also offer protection that no crucial steps are overlooked in the process, and most importantly, that legal parentage is established the appropriate way. Through extensive medical, psychological, criminal, and other extensive screening the unqualified candidates are removed from the process and only the top candidates survive the screening. There are no legal requirements to becoming a surrogate, but we hold The Stork's Nest to the highest of standards and do the maximum screening and support to create the most optimal pool of candidates and successful matches. As the surrogacy agency, it is our role to be a trusted consultant throughout the entire process. We coordinate psychological screening and ongoing support, medical clearance, introductions and communication, medical arrangements for transfer and care once there is a match, payment to surrogate, referrals to counselors or other professionals necessary, attorney referrals, travel arrangements, translation services, and advice on setting the surrogacy fees. The agency is a liaison between the intended parent(s), surrogate, medical professionals, and legal professionals to help facilitate a pregnancy strategy agreed upon by all involved.
