Clinicians, consider joining the hybrid 2023-2024 Psychoanalytic Consultation and Study Group focused on Utilizing Countertransference while working with Narcissistic and Obsessive Dynamics.

The group will begin meeting Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2023, 8:30-10:00 am, and run weekly through May 22, 2024. In-Person at the CTS Counseling Center, Indianapolis, and online via Zoom.
(A potential second group, based on interest, will meet Thursday, Sept. 7, 2023, 1-2:30 pm, and run through May 23, 2023, in a hybrid model as well)
The group provides 48 CEs through APA, incl. 3 ethics CEs. It is sponsored by the Indiana Society for Psychoanalytic Thought, a local chapter of APA.

About the psychoanalytic consultant/presenter:
Matthias Beier, Ph.D., has run psychoanalytic supervision and consultation groups for over a dozen years. Beier is a nationally certified psychoanalyst trained at the National Psychological Association for Psychoanalysis (NPAP), New York City, founded by Theodor Reik, one of Freud’s students. Beier is Associate Professor at Christian Theological Seminary, where he teaches in the psychoanalytically oriented M.A. program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. He is President of the Indiana Society for Psychoanalytic Thought (ISPT, a chapter of APA Div. 39); a past member of the Editorial Board of The Psychoanalytic Review; licensed as a Psychoanalyst in the State of New York and as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Indiana; a Diplomate in the American Mental Health Counselor Association (AMHCA); and a Psychotherapist Member of the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE). He serves on the Board of the Indiana Counseling Association (ICA). Clinically, he specializes in psychoanalytic supervision and consultation with individuals and groups, and in psychoanalysis. Trained in the art of supervision by Dr. Arthur Robbins, Founder of the Institute for Expressive Analysis in New York City, which combines art therapy with psychoanalysis, Beier is author of three books and numerous articles, incl. in The Psychoanalytic Review, applying psychoanalysis to facilitate mental health and healthy spirituality.
