COLD CASES: MISSING PERSON 🚨
Name: Maura Murray
Last seen: 2004
City/Town: North Haverhill
Status: Missing person
On Monday, February 9, 2004, Maura Murray’s vehicle, a black Saturn 4-door sedan, was reported to have been involved in a single-car accident along Route 112 (also known as Wild Ammonoosuc Road) in Haverhill. When the North Haverhill Police Department arrived at the scene, they found no trace of Maura. Shortly before police arrived, a private citizen spoke with a woman believed to be Maura at the accident site. She has not been seen or heard from since. Maura Murray, 21, was a nursing student at the University of Massachusetts–Amherst and had previously attended the United States Military Academy at West Point. Maura was an avid runner who enjoyed hiking in the White Mountains. Earlier in the day on February 9, she was captured on ATM surveillance footage wearing a dark jacket and jeans. Maura did not tell anyone of her intended trip to New Hampshire, located about two and a half hours from campus. Despite extensive searches by law enforcement agencies, community volunteers, and private organizations over the years, Maura’s whereabouts remain unknown. Her disappearance is being treated as suspicious.
