Our Volunteer Appreciation Party was all about celebrating the people who give their time, energy, and heart to enhance the lives of others every single day. Your dedication doesn’t go unnoticed, and this special day was just a small way to say thank you for all that you do. You inspire us, uplift our community, and remind us of what it means to serve with purpose. ❤️

Residents teamed up with the Life Enrichment Director and Fitness Instructor to make a meaningful impact on the grounds of Timber Hills. Together, the group collected an impressive 10 bags of trash while enjoying fresh air, exercise, and comradery. It was a wonderful opportunity to stay active, connect with one another, and take pride in caring for our environment—proving that even small efforts can make a big difference when we work together to clean up the earth one piece of trash at a time. Happy Earth Day! 🌎

Today, a group of residents enjoyed a tour of Gertens Garden Center. We learned so much—not only about flowers and how they’re grown into the beautiful plants ready for spring purchase, but also about how the operation works behind the scenes.

After the tour, the group couldn’t resist doing a little shopping and checking out the many beautiful flowers for sale. The outing was topped off with lunch at Applebee’s, where everyone had a chance to relax and chat.

It was a wonderful way to spend a cool and windy Saturday with friends.

💕 Celebrating 60 Years of Love! 💕

Today we had the absolute joy of celebrating Dennis and Marlene’s 60th Wedding Anniversary alongside their family, friends, fellow residents, and staff. What a beautiful milestone!

The celebration was filled with all things love — a life‑size cutout, their original cake topper displayed on a stunning tiered cake, precious wedding photos, cupcakes, champagne, and so many smiles and memories shared. 🥂🍰

Congratulations, Dennis and Marlene! May your days continue to be filled with love, laughter, and happiness. We are truly blessed to have you as part of the Timber Hills family. 💖

The Easter Egg Hunt today was egg‑ceptionally fun with a fantastic turnout from the residents! Friendly competition was in full swing and baskets filled up fast. A big congratulations to Elaine, the “Golden Egg” winner, who was victorious after finding the most eggs. What a joyful, memory‑filled celebration!

This afternoon, we added an Easter twist to a traditional cake walk and created our very own “Easter Basket Walk”! Residents took turns stepping around the circle, hoping to land on the winning spot and take home a festive basket filled with fun prizes. Laughter, friendly competition, and plenty of smiles filled the room! 🌷💐🐥

Residents created beautiful spring flower bouquets this afternoon, each one unique and full of personal flair. No two arrangements were alike, reflecting the creativity and individuality of everyone who took part. What made the experience even more special was the time spent together—crafting groups are never just about the final product. They’re about socializing, sharing stories, meeting new people, and building meaningful friendships. The laughter, conversations, and connections formed around the table were just as lovely as the bouquets themselves.

This morning's shamrock hunt was a great success. Everyone got into the spirit right away, even a resident pup, searching high and low with plenty of determination. The residents truly left no couch cushion unturned (see photo 3), checking every possible hiding spot. It was wonderful to see so much energy and friendly competition throughout the activity. Congratulations to the winners Marlene and Lu! 🍀

Residents gathered for a "Clover Coolers & Cookies Social" to celebrate St. Patrick's Day a few days early. Timber Hills monthly socials create a wonderful opportunity for residents to relax, laugh, and catch up with one another. Adding to the fun, "Milly", a fur resident of Timber Hills, joined in the celebration and happily enjoyed a special “pup cup” right alongside her owner and residents. The event was filled with smiles, good conversation, and plenty of holiday spirit. 🍀🍨🐕
