We get a LOT of questions from Veterans about whether or not they have to still pay the State Fee for their Medical Ma*****na card. Unfortunately, the answer is YES. Everyone must still pay the yearly $75 state fee to participate in the medical ma*****na program. (Remember, this is different from the Doctor's visits and prescription, which is a separate fee.)

You may have heard there was an Executive Order signed that reschedules Ma*****na from Schedule I to Schedule III. At this time, there is no change to anything related to MMJ. The Department of Transportation issued the following information regarding the DOT's testing for Ma*****na. There are no changes to the current guidelines.

The Citrus County Commission is again planning on banning any new Medical Ma*****na Dispensaries from opening in the county. We believe this hurts competition and limits patients' access to this vital medication.

Our own Dr. Kurz weighs in on this proposed ban in the news story.

There are not many true dispensaries open in the county; instead, many "Smoke" shops have opened. These are NOT Medical MMJ dispensaries. We believe this is a general misunderstanding between the two of them and they should be treated differently.
