Family Life Care is looking to hire a RN or LPN to be a caregiver for an adult client. We are looking for someone who is compassionate and willing to learn, as the client has very complex care needs. This client is located in Dunnellon, Florida and the ideal candidate will have ventilator experience. The family is looking to cover 22 hours per week, with a Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday schedule. The hours on those days are flexible, but a 10 and a 12 are ideal. The client is very amiable and able to communicate his needs and participate in his care. Training will be provided in the home by an RN, as well as with family guidance, for as long as needed to feel comfortable with the client’s equipment.
Equipment in the home:
1. Ventilator (and back up)
2. Mechanical lift
3. Electric wheelchair
4. Shower chair
5. G-tube (change Q3 months, will teach if no experience!)
6. Suction
7. Cough assist (again, training will be provided!)
The client and his family would like to have a phone call with the applicant just to ensure they can properly describe the care and their preferences, as well as to get to know the applicants!
