What were you doing 20 years ago this month? Well, Dr. Skahan had just graduated in May 2002 from optometry school in Memphis, Tennessee. He and his wife Lesley, decided to return home and join Dr. Ellis Potter and Dr. Douglas Donnelly here in Iola.

Did you know it only takes 2️⃣ hours of screen time per day for us to feel the effects of digital eye strain? 💻👀

If you spend most of the day working on a computer, here are a few tips to help protect your eyes:

➡️ Follow the 20/20/20 Rule: Every 20 minutes, take a 20 second break and look at something 20 feet away (set a timer if you have to!)

➡️ Set up a comfortable workspace and position your computer screen so it is at least 20 inches from your eyes, slightly below eye level, and angled upward

➡️ Ask your local Vision Source doctor about lenses that can help filter out blue light and prevent eye strain
