We are thrilled to share that our PET/MR scanner, the Biograph One, was delivered yesterday! Iowa is only the 2nd site in the U.S. to implement this state-of-the-art scanner. It will enhance patient access to advanced molecular imaging and offer exciting opportunities for translational and clinical research, especially in the areas of oncology and neurology.

Special thanks to those who've worked diligently to plan the projects; in particular, Drs. Ananya Panda and Stephen Graves.

On April 28, 2025, Dr. Eric A. Hoffman was honored as a Gold Level Impact Scholar by the Carver College of Medicine. Impact Scholars are selected based on their Hirsch Index (H-Index) score, which represents both the number of papers a faculty person has published and how many times those papers have been cited by other research articles. Faculty receiving an index score of 100 or higher are recognized as "gold" level scholars; those with 50 or higher receive "silver" level. Only 6 other faculty currently hold Gold Level distinction since the award's inception, making this a very prestigious honor.

The Radiology Leadership Academy spent their last two sessions with Master Certified Professional Coach, Heather Woody.

For the first session, the class completed a personalized DISC assessment, a behavioral assessment designed to determine strengths and opportunities with various leadership styles. The class utilized this information to evaluate their communication styles, interactions with others, how they received feedback and so much more!

The second session was designed around Strengths Based Leadership book by Don Clifton. The class completed a personalized assessment to learn their top 5 strengths, how to maximize their strengths as leaders to create stronger relationships and improve teamwork.
