Your lumbar fascia may be doing its job a little too well—protecting, tightening, and guarding. Fascia responds to stress, lack of movement, and feeling unsafe in the body. ● feel stiff, compressed, or “locked up” in their lower back

● deal with daily, low-grade chronic tension that never fully goes away

● carry stress and anxiety in their body and struggle to fully relax

Lower Back Pain Isn’t Always a “Back” Problem

If you’re dealing with lower back pain, stiffness, or limited mobility, here’s something most people don’t realize:

👉 Your lower back is often paying the price for stiff hips. To move freely, your body needs rotation walking, twisting, bending, training, even sitting requires it.

The hips are designed to be the body’s primary rotation engines. They’re surrounded by powerful muscles that allow movement in every direction while staying strong and stable.

But when the hips become tight, restricted, or undertrained, they turn into a fortress — strong, but immobile.

So what happens next?

Your body looks for rotation somewhere else.
That demand gets shifted to the lumbar spine (lower back). While the lower back can move, it wasn’t designed to handle excessive rotation. It sacrifices stability, and the supporting muscles (like the erector spinae) become overworked, fatigued, and painful.

😭😳–THE RESULT–😳😭
• Chronic lower back pain
• Tightness that won’t “stretch out”
• Feeling stuck, guarded, or unstable
