Staff members of SURLS FUNERAL HOMES are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors. Randy L. Sietsema was born and raised in Hampton, Iowa where he graduated from the Hampton High School in 1975 of which he was Senior Class President. In 1981 he graduated from the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science with honors. He served his apprenticeship Ralph J. Wittich Funeral Home in Muscatine. He had worked at Johnson-Boman Funeral Home in Mankato, MN and the Estel-Perrin-Avery Funeral Home in Marshalltown. He is currently licensed in both the states of Iowa and Minnesota. Randy bought the Surls Funeral Homes in Iowa Falls, Alden and Williams in September 1985 and the Brandt-Fritz Funeral Home in Ackley in August of 1989. In April of 2000 Randy Built a new facility in Ackley and re-named the funeral home as Sietsema Funeral Home. Randy and his wife Debbie have three children, Scott, Todd and Brooke. Randy is a member of the Kiwanis Club, Masonic Lodge, Elks Club, Moose Club, First United Methodist Church, Pheasants Forever, and is an E-Club Board Member of the Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls. He moved to Iowa Falls in 1985 when Randy bought the Surls Funeral Homes in Iowa Falls, Alden, and Williams. Scott graduated from Iowa Falls High School in 2003. He attended Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo and graduated with his Associates Degree. Scott graduated from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Services in the Fall of 2008 and passed his National Boards that December.Scott is a member of the Elks Club, the First United Methodist Church in Iowa Falls and is an E-Club Board Member of Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls Todd Sietsema Funeral Director Email: tjsietsema@gmail.com Phone: 641-648-9554 Todd J. Todd graduated from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Services in the Fall of 2009 and passed his National Boards that December. Todd is a member of the Elks Club, the First United Methodist Church in Iowa Falls and is the E-Club Board Vice President with Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls. Todd resides in Iowa Falls with his wife Adriane and son Jack.
