Friday February 10th, join us at 6 pm at EBSCO Hall —- Acupressure is a form of massage therapy where we use fingertip pressure to help encourage the free flow of energy through the body. It’s a healing practice based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). One of the concepts of TMC is that of meridian, or energetic, pathways. Acupressure focuses on balancing the energy flow, or Qi, in the body through these energetic pathways.
This gentle technique has a calming yet revitalizing effect and is a great alternative to acupuncture. The experience itself may be subtle, but over time can yield deep, profound changes in an individual’s state of health and sense of wellbeing.
Meridian Acupressure Therapy can support: chronic pain, headaches, fatigue, digestive disorders, anxiety and depression, insomnia, menstrual and menopausal symptoms.
This is a workshop where participants will be instructed on how to apply acupressure to their own bodies. Wear comfortable clothes, bring a yoga mat and blanket. Chairs are available for your comfort.
