A Little Bit About Lindsay

Where It Began

As a child, teenager, and young adult, Lindsay suffered from chronic migraines with no apparent solution available except pain management. Her dad would massage her head and neck during a migraine when she was a kid, and when she got into her teenage and young-adult years she began seeking out massage therapy as a solution. Relief always followed the sessions. She began to have a curiosity and interest in the art of massage therapy, always asking the therapists she saw questions about how they got into their profession and what they liked most.

Unfortunately the migraines never really went away and only got worse into her mid-20’s. Massage helped temporarily and she had been prescribed several preventative and onset medications that helped but only masked what was really going on. Eventually the migraines became so frequent, and the pain so disruptive to her life, that she sought alternative methods. Continuing to up dosages on meds didn’t sound that great or a sustainable way to live in her mind. So, she found a local LMBT and scheduled a session for Myofascial Release, something she’d never heard of before, but was willing to try.

During that one hour, what happened can only be described as spiritual. There was a spiritual shift in Lindsay’s perspective on pain. And her journey to healing began. The healing of deep emotional wounds. It was then, too, that she realized her capacity to be of service in this way to others as well. Coupling her innate massage abilities and her intuitive and empathetic senses was a recipe for a great massage and bodywork therapist.
