Our Disc Golf Course Grand Opening on January 24 at Northwest Family YMCA celebrated more than just a new way to play—it honored the leadership and dedication of Pearl Owens, whose Girl Scout Gold Award Project brought this course to life. As the highest achievement in Girl Scouting, the Gold Award recognizes projects that create lasting, positive community impact—and Pearl did just that.

Due to ongoing hazardous road conditions, all YMCA of Columbia branches will delay opening until 10:00 AM tomorrow, Monday, February 2.

To support working families, all-day child care (10:00 AM–6:00 PM) will be available at the locations below for children ages 4–14. Care is open to anyone who needs it.

Rates: $27 members | $36 nonmembers

Due to winter weather conditions and for the safety of our members and staff, all YMCA of Columbia branches will be closed on Saturday, Jan. 31.

Due to the potential impact of Winter Storm Gianna, the YMCA of Columbia is making the following adjustments.

Program Cancellations – Saturday, Jan. 31
❌ All youth basketball games are canceled.
❌ All swim lessons are canceled.
👉 Games and swim lessons will be rescheduled.

Facility Operations
A decision regarding branch closures or delayed openings will be made on Friday, Jan. 30, at noon.

An update will be shared at that time regarding whether branches will be able to open on Saturday.

Snow and icy conditions are uncommon in the Midlands, and even minimal accumulation can create hazardous driving conditions. Our top priority is safety for our staff, members, and the Midlands Community.
