🚨 Important WIC Update: Government Shutdown 🚨
We’ve been receiving a lot of calls asking if WIC benefits are being paused due to the government shutdown. As of now, WIC remains open and fully operational.
✅ You will continue to receive your benefits as scheduled, as long as you remain in compliance and attend your WIC appointments.
✅ We are still able to determine eligibility, take height/weight and hemoglobin measurements, complete paperwork, and provide nutrition and breastfeeding education, support, and referrals.
We’ve also heard reports that some stores are turning people away or saying WIC cards can’t be used. This is not true. Your WIC Nutrition Card is still active and can be used as normal. SNAP is not affiliated with WIC, and their shutdown does not affect WIC.
If you experience any issues using your card or a store refuses your WIC purchase, please contact our clinic right away so we can help resolve it.
In the event that WIC would have to close due to an extended government shutdown, you WILL be notified. Please check our page for updates.

Halloween is all about fun — and a little candy doesn’t have to scare your healthy habits away! Here are a few simple ways to keep things balanced this spooky season:
👻 Eat a balanced meal first: Enjoy a healthy dinner before trick-or-treating so no one starts the night hungry.
🍬 Sort it out: After the fun, sort candy together! Keep favorites and donate or store the rest for later. Make sure to check expiration dates and ingredients, too!
🧙‍♀️ Set candy limits: Offer 1–2 small treats after meals to help prevent sugar overload.
🕸️ Stay active: Turn trick-or-treating into a walking adventure! Count steps, have a zombie dance party, or three-legged monster race.
🍎 Mix in healthy snacks: Pair treats with fruit, nuts, or yogurt to add nutrients and help balance blood sugar.
Remember — it’s all about moderation, not restriction. A little planning makes Halloween both healthy and happy!
