Acti-Kare of Irvine provides in-home caregivers to support activities of daily living to allow our clients to safely age in place in the comfort of home. Our team of professional caregivers embrace the philosophy of meeting our clients where they're at mentally and physically in the moment. Creating trust through reliable care with ongoing communication is our top priority. We look forward to working with you and your family to provide the support you need! We are just starting to need extra help; do we need to have a caregiver every day? Acti-Kare works with families that are in the beginning stages of needing support and can provide
as little as 4-hour shifts in the morning, afternoon or evening 2 days per week. As needs increase
for support, we can easily increase the number of hours and days a caregiver is needed.
2. How do we know we can trust having a Acti-Kare caregiver in our home? We are a fully licensed, bonded, and insured HCO (Home Care Organization #304700356)
registered through the state of CA. Our caregivers are HCA (Home Care Aide) registered, including
a Live Scan Background clearance prior to employment. Acti-Kare of Irvine also
thoroughly screens and trains caregivers before matching them with our clients. We take placing a
trustworthy caregiver in your home seriously.
3. Are caregiving services covered by insurance? Long Term Care policies include coverage for in-home caregiving services. If you have an LTC
policy and you're wondering if you can start using it for Acti-Kare services, we would be happy to
assist you!
4. Our mom/dad is no longer safe to drive; can a caregiver take them to appointments and shopping? Transportation can be provided along with mobility assistance and support to reduce the risk of
falls and injury due to balance issues.
5. The staff at the hospital said they would set up services for home; why would we need a caregiver? When a patient is discharged from a facility, often urgently due to insurance constraints, a
care coordinator will set up home services ordered by a doctor. These orders
might include a nurse and/or a physical therapist to provide follow-up services for 1 hour or less,
1-2 times per week to perform specific services such as wound care or rehab exercises. A caregiver
will be with you as often as you need them while you or your loved one recovers.
6. Will Hospice provide caregivers at home? End of life care, including Hospice, will provide nursing support that is typically limited to 1 or 2
hours per week to monitor what resources are needed. We work alongside agencies such as
Hospice, to provide caregiving that supports the family as much as the client needing care.
7. I'm the family caregiver for my aunt and uncle who live with us. Can a caregiver come in just to help
with them? We love providing respite care for family caregivers! Our services are designed to intertwine with
"Sandwich Generation" needs to support and preserve relationships. Assistance with grocery
shopping, meal preparation, bathing, laundry, and medication reminders are just a few ways
ACTi Kare caregivers support the whole family.
8. What cities in Orange County do you provide in-home services? Irvine, Newport Beach, Corona del Mar, Tustin, Costa Mesa, Anaheim, Huntington Beach, Seal
Beach, Sunset Beach, Santa Ana, Fullerton, Garden Grove, Fountain Valley, Westminster, Los
Alamitos, Stanton, Orange, Villa Park, and Buena Park
